TNS were contacted by a Birmingham based food company to validate a 3rd party audit.
Following this audit numerous issues were found to be the cause of a malfunctioning network.
-
Data cable tied to incoming 3 phase leads
-
Transmission cable in poor health (kinks, split sheaths)
-
Internal grade cable running externally across the building roof
After carrying out detailed analysis of all problems faced and the client’s requirements, TNS proposed the installation of a Draka Cat6 solution.
This proposition was accepted, allowing TNS engineers to get to work
The task involved:
-
Installation of a Draka Cat6 solution throughout the main building
-
Fitting an external OM3 CST grade fibre from the Comms Room to remote offices
-
Installation of 18 data points, connected to Comms Room
-
Repositioning of cabinets and servers
-
Installation of a further 88 data points
-
Installation and fusion splicing of a fibre optic link
-
Re-patching the network
-
Health checks on all hardware equipment
Following this successful CAT6 installation into a Birmingham based food company, TNS showcased their ability to identify existing problems, produce a remedial action plan and carry out all tasks in a professional manner.
